Hawaii Day #2

Are you all in suspense? Do you want to hear the story of Kelly's new friends; Fernando, Fredrico, George? They are three chicks that Kelly decided to feed from our deck at our condo after he clearly read a sign on our refrigerator that said "Please do not feed the chickens or dogs. Maholo"

You see, in Kauai hens, chicks, and roosters roam free all over. Seriously they walk through the airport and the middle of the Walmart parking lot and they walk around your condo and wake you up with a cockadoodle doo at the crack of dawn. For a farm grown boy like Kelly he felt right at home. This was his kind of place. A little bit of farm and country mixed with my tropic paradise!
We woke up Sunday morning and went to church at a little branch in Hanalei. The people were so friendly and their speakers, oddly enough, were a couple from Utah that vacation there three months a year. They spoke on the Book of Mormon and the Bible and how they are companion inspired books. It was so neat to be there!
Then we went home and changed and headed for Queens Bath and the Beach. We had to hike a little to get to see Queens Bath but it was worth it! The view was spectacular and the waves crashing against the rocks was masterful. Thank goodness my friend Ashley got me exercising about 2 months before we left. Jillian Michaels and the 30day shred saved me from keeling over on the trail!
Next, was Hide Aways beach where the water is said to be as warm as bath water and it was. It was also clear and crystal blue. You could see fish swimming around your feet. It was at that moment we decided we needed to buy or rent some snorkel gear. So we got some snorkel gear and we were off to Kapaa beach, a local favorite! It was beautiful! Snorkeling was amazing! There were so many brightly colored fish and we didn't have to go out very deep. For a scaredee cat like me it was perfect. After some serious sun and snorkeling we went back to our condo and showered and relaxed before getting some dinner. It was a wonderful day! A little bit of Heaven on Earth! Enjoy!!

I already want to go back...seriously I might think about selling my kidney to be able to go back. Okay, that is a little aggressive, but I really might do it. Love the pictures. Glad Kelly finally got our little chicks names right!
